More Menswear! Ladies, please ignore any socially constructed instinct you have to solely enter and shop in ladies sections. There is no such thing as gender in fashion, it's all fair game! But back to buisness...we love the look of an extra-long blazer paired with a same-length dress and heels or paired with a skinny black trouser and ankle boots. We're still searching for the perfect one. We find they're tough to thrift because they end up being completely massive or just not long enough (we want it to fall just below the butt). We might have to seek out some tailoring options...

If you ask us, this editorial is brilliant . Editor Carine Roitfeld is making a statement here. She's showing us that the fur controversy isn't one the fashion industry ignores. This story is especially interesting because she makes the fur look so incredible. Visually the images are amazing. We are so attracted to the styling, yet there is such a guilty conscience that goes along with wearing fur and choosing to wear fur. Keeping in mind the targeted Vogue Paris reader, what is she trying to say to them? I think we would like to leave it open to interpretation. What do you guys think?

do you LOVE?

We came across this photo yesterday on one of our favourite fashion blogs: stockholm street style. We find that because there are SOO many images out there and so much fashion inspiration, it's not often anymore we reeeeaaallllyyy LOVE an image. This image on the other hand, really struck us. We love her effortless appearance and the combination of her denim, shirt and blazer.

Postcards from France

Here are a few great ideas for summer vacation dressing. We asked one of our favourite styledby girls to send us back some pictures from her recent trip to Cannes/St. Tropez. Don't they look amazing?!
When packing for vacations like this, long jersey dresses keep well in your suitcase and can be super versatile (like the above blue Rachel Pally). Take one dress from daytime flats and sunnies to heels and a blazer for night.

So here's an outfit we did with contributor stylist Erin McMullon. Our friend Jen had a first date to go on and we wanted her to look cool, stylish and comfortable. Her only concern was looking too "try-hard". We suggested wearing flats, but amazing flats of course, since she was just going for a casual drink.

So as Steph has informed everyone, I have been spending some time travelling Europe. While the beaches, tans, and museums have all been lovely... one of my main goals is to find a killer pair of boots; so I'm one month and a bit in and had basically given up on boots when all I can find are unfortunate strappy sandals. Then just yesterday I stumbled upon these Chloe gems that I had only seen online (can't find a good close up, i apologize)-and they are even better in real life. But with a 900 euro price tag...I think I remain right where I started.

what we've been up to...

Soooo as i'm sure you've noticed, our commentary has been quite minimal lately. We've been super busy over the last 2 monthes and as any other blogger has probably noticed, it gets tough keeping up day to day with fresh ideas, thoughts and photos. So we wanted to give you a glimpse of what we've been so busy up to: One of us is backpacking Europe - picking up tons of amazing pieces to blog about later! And the other is assisting a Judy inc. stylist here in Toronto: Amy Lu (www.amylu.ca). So far, its been back to back photoshoots all month long for the fall issue of Donato magazine.
