Everyone seems to be super excited about these covers because apparantly they are sans make-up and retouching...
Is it me or are they totally wearing make-up? Especially the cover on the far right.
The idea is exciting but until they do it right, I think this is a bust.
Politics aside - they're beautiful shots. I love the neutral colours.
Thoughts?

looks like makeup! minimal but still there. is it just me or are they all wearing the same shade of lipstick?
I don't know about the make-up but Sophie Marceau has definitely gone sans food. Maybe make just adds a few pounds but i don't remember her ever being that skinny.
a friend of mine who has actually *seen* these covers IRL says she's convinced only sophie M. is makeupless. the others are done (albeit subtly).
